Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Kinome. By accessing or using the application, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Kinome ("the Application," "the Service"), you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You have the legal capacity to agree to these terms.
- You agree to be bound by all provisions herein.
If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Application.
2. Description of Service
Kinome is a personal health intelligence platform that allows you to:
- Connect to third-party healthcare providers (such as Epic MyChart) via OAuth 2.0 to retrieve your own health records.
- View, search, and explore your clinical data — including lab results, visit notes, medications, conditions, and more.
- Receive AI-generated summaries, health insights, and consultation planning based on your personal records.
Kinome is a personal health record (PHR) tool — it aggregates your own data for your own review. It is not a clinical decision support system, diagnostic tool, or medical device.
3. Medical Disclaimer
The Application does not provide medical advice.
The content, insights, and AI-generated analysis provided by Kinome are for informational purposes only and are not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of content viewed in Kinome.
- Always seek the advice of your physician or a qualified health provider with any questions regarding a medical condition.
- In the event of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.
AI can make errors. Always verify any critical health information with a qualified medical professional.
4. Data Connection and AI Services
4.1 Third-Party Healthcare Integrations
By connecting a healthcare provider account, you:
- Authorize Kinome to retrieve your health records on your behalf via standardized FHIR APIs.
- Understand that Kinome is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the policies of your healthcare provider.
- Can revoke access at any time through the Settings page or your provider's app settings.
4.2 AI Analysis
- The AI features use your health data to generate insights, summaries, and suggested questions for healthcare appointments.
- AI outputs are non-deterministic and may contain inaccuracies. You should not make medical or financial decisions based solely on AI-generated content.
- Kinome does not use your personal health data to train AI models without your explicit consent.
5. User Accounts and Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, compromise platform security, or engage in abusive behavior.
- You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the platform beyond your own records.
6. Data Privacy
Your privacy is a core commitment. In summary:
- We do not sell, rent, or share your health data with advertisers or data brokers.
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.
- You may request deletion of all your data at any time.

7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Kinome — including the software, design, text, and graphics — are the exclusive property of Kinome and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your health data belongs to you; the platform interface and AI tooling belong to us.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kinome and its directors, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
- Damages resulting from your reliance on AI-generated health content.
- Service interruptions or data loss.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which liability is claimed, even if Kinome has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. By continuing to use Kinome after revised terms become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.
